| | | David Winkler | | | David Winkler is a familiar name in church instrumental music, having directed groups both large and small since the mid-'70s. A graduate of North Texas State University (B.M. -- Jazz Studies) and the University of Texas at San Antonio (M.M. -- Choral Conducting), he has served as pianist, orchestra director, and minister of music in churches in Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
Besides arranging numerous pieces both vocal and instrumental for publication, he served on orchestration design committees for five major hymnals, including the Lillenas Sing to the Lord hymnal.
